Terrible Casting

‘The Butler’, currently in preproduction, is the story of an African American White House butler who served eight presidents. Lee Daniels (Precious) is on board to direct so it shouldn’t be another ‘The Help’ type film. It has the potential on premise alone, but let’s jump on the casting slide!

The star is Forest Whitaker! Perfect. The man is incredible.

David Oyelowo was great as one of the bad guys in ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes.’

Terrance Howard. Awesome. He needs a good role.

Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan? That sounds interesting. I can’t wait to see him in make up and hear the voice.

Here we go down.

Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan. Riding the success of ‘Monster-in-Law!’

Cuba Gooding Jr? Hey, the man can act, he just hasn’t been given the chance. Right?

Lenny Kravitz? Well, ok I guess. He was fine in ‘Hunger Games’ though that was very limited screen time.

Minka Kelly as Jackie O. Knock it off.

Oprah Winfrey? Stop it.

John Cusack as Nixon. LOL.

Matthew McConaughy as JFK. I’m leaving.

“John Cusack as Nixon.” – I’m 100% in at this point.
“Matthew McConaughy as JFK.” – What would Adam say…oh right, KEEP IT!
