Yes, the holiday specials are great, but they are also 25 minutes long. The slow ‘Peanuts’ formula works in a short time frame. Extending a story four times as long will feel like hours.
i dare you to name me a ‘Peanuts’ special other than ‘Christmas’ and the ‘Great Pumpkin.’ Also the special you were miraculously able to name was probably bad.
Now let’s remember the ‘Chipmunk’ films, the Doctor Seuss adaptations, and everything else in the past decade that Hollywood has taken from your childhood and dragged through the mud.
