So we have always complained about how everything is a sequel. But is this trend really that new?

Channing Tatum was recently announced for a starring role in Roland Emmerich’s (ID4, Day After Tomorrow, 2012) upcoming film ‘White House Down.’ Little is known about the film except for a short synopsis, but it does have a release date picked out already. You know, the important stuff.

In a recent Collider interview with Idris Elba, the subject of ‘Thor 2’ came up. Elba said he would be back as the Asgardian God Heimdall. He also said that in the sequel he would love if we could learn more about this character.
This is probably horseshit.
We need a Nick Fury movie. He’s such a rich character with a giant history. He’s also a figure head of the entire new marvel movie universe and very little is known about him. How did he get to where he is? How is SHEILD what it is? Who does it answer to? Who was that strange cabal he kept talking to on the Helicarrier?

Red Bull, yes the energy drink, have announced plans to produce a movie? What is it you ask? Probably an extreme sports documentary? A Tony Hawk bio-pic? Maybe an update of ‘Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines’ but with flutag?
No you dumb bastard, its an updated version of ‘Oliver Twist’ simply entitled ‘Twist.’ Here’s the twist, it will be set in present day focussing mainly on Fagin’s gang

Decided to go through the coming soon section of IMDB.com to get a look at what the Movie Movie Podcast would be up to for the rest of the summer. Nicely enough I want to see something every weekend from now until October.
The exception to this is the weekend of June 15th, which I am dubbing the worst weekend of the summer.

It’s been 7 years since ‘Sin City.’ I had to look it up to be sure. I was ready to write almost 10 years. It’s felt really long. The film was a hit when released, grossing over $150 million, and still remains the most faithful adaptation going from page to screen. It put Frank Miller on the Hollywood map. It got ‘300’ made and allowed Frank Miller to try directing a version of Will Eisner’s ‘The Spirit.’

Yes, while we all got the unfortunate news that Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are making The Starving Games, I hope it is not lost on the viewing public that they have already made another turd-in-waiting for this year titled “The Biggest Movie Of All Time 3D”
The poster alone pretty much sums up how asinine this film is going to be. Get it? It’s a rip-off of Avatar! The movie that came out 3 years ago and is no longer really even relevant is finally getting it’s comeuppance. This is the timing equivalent of making a joke about The Osbournes. And look at this fucking poster. It is supposed to be a Na’vi woman, but it’s FUNNY because the words are between her nose and to read them her eyes have to be crossed! If you think that is funny, I know I hate you and know you don’t deserve to live. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? No one can even answer that question and that’s the worst part. This movie will even probably make enough money to justify it’s budget.
We have to stop them.
